Individual Therapy

Dr. Jean-Arellia Tolentino is a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY34978), and open for virtual teletherapy with clients residing in California!

A little bit about therapy with me:

I work from a collaborative approach that is social justice & culturally informed. What that looks like is:  1. exploring your journey (how you got to this point in your life now),  2. what's present, and  3. where do you want to go.

Sessions are tailored to your unique needs to create a safe space that will allow you to engage intentionally, and express emotions authentically.

Perhaps we're a fit if you're seeking a therapist who believes and works from a feminist liberation approach, has experience working towards building healthy familial dynamics, and integrates a whole-person & holistic approach to care.

Please schedule a free consultation online to assess alignment, your needs, and answer any questions you may have. You can decide at that time, or think further if you would like to go forward with scheduling an appointment.

During the consultation, we can schedule an intake appointment, or you make schedule online through the client portal.

Get ready to meet: Prior to our intake appointment, you will receive an email with information about my practice policies, on-boarding forms to complete, and a reminder message with our secure Telehealth video link.

If, at anytime, you need to refer back to that information, you may access your Uliyán Membership Page with the client portal link.

For sessions, we encourage you to find a comfortable & secure space, reliable internet connection, and grab some goodies (e.g., water, journal, tissue, etc..)

  • I loved work with Dr. Tolentino as my therapist! She was warm, helpful, and offered different strategies to address my anxiety with work, family things, and relationship stuff. Thanks for the support!

  • I didn't think I needed to go to therapy for as long as I did, but I'm glad I stuck with it. What stuck with me was something Dr. Tolentino talked about in one of our sessions: we talked about my issues with my home life, and what I really wanted my future to look like. It was hard work, but I'm glad I stayed through all that hard sessions. Dr. Tolentino helped make the hard feel better.

  • I've worked with a lot of therapists. Some worked, but not like I liked. I liked being able to feel like I can just talk without someone judging me. [Dr. Tolentino and I] talked about everything. From things in the news to my breakfast that day to issues at home. It's been great!
